I could not recommend Hairanoia enough. My hairdresser of more than a decade passed away, & I had a hard time finding a new place that suited me. & Michael appeared. Michael is one the kindest, most welcoming people & his salon is warm, safe & so pleasant. He is an absolute wizard with color, my hair looks more naturally blonde than it has in years! Michael & his team are experts with hair & has helped me bring out my natural texture. I promise, you leave Hairanoia feeling beautiful, taken care of, & confident. Best salon in Syracuse!

I have had the pleasure of having my hair cut, colored and styled by Michael at Hairanoia for many years. He is professional, accommodating, and very talented. I’ve always had input and advice regarding style and color. The salon is a very clean and peaceful place, well cared for! Michael is the best

Heather is amazing! I've been getting short haircuts for the last several years but decided to try a longer shag cut, and Heather worked with me to figure out what would best fit my hair texture and length. I was nervous going to a new place as a nonbinary person who didn't want a super feminine cut, but I felt listened to and accepted here. Definitely coming back!

Michael is such a gem and a wonderful hairdresser. Since I started coloring and cutting my hair with him, it is so much healthier. He is such a kind person and a great person to talk to when you're getting your hair done. I've noticed such a difference in my hair, and I look forward to seeing everyone when I come in every couple of weeks. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Has got to be the best salon I have ever been to!

Michael is the most amazing person you could ever know! His salon is always decorated with perfection and is kept very clean! It has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you walk into the salon, you can expect to be treated with love, kindness and acceptance. 10 STARS!!! You will leave there looking amazing and feeling even better. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️

Michael is a styling genius and Hairanoia is the most beautiful, comfortable place you'll ever get your hair done. I've been going to Hairanoia for over twenty years. I've watched Michael give amazing cuts that breathe new life into all sorts of hair, and he works miracles on my difficult, baby-fine hair. The other people in his salon are great, too, and everyone is so nice! You'll meet Michael and in two minutes you'll feel you made a new best friend. Highest recommendation!

Hairanoia is amazing. Michael has been doing my naturally wavy hair since 2004. I consistently get compliments on my hair, and love the way it looks and feels. The other stylists are amazing too! Michael is an artist who not only really understands many different kinds of hair and processes, but also really works to get to know his clients to create a style that suits them. The salon is LGBTQ+ friendly, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Always a pleasure to spend time in, and always leave feeling and looking my best. 5 stars!

I just moved to the area for school and was looking for a new stylist. I went to another shop before this and was not happy with my experience. I contacted Heather at Hairanoia and she got back with me quickly, and was even able to work me in two days before my scheduled appointment to fix my hair. She is a magician with clippers and a pair of scissors!! I am so happy with how my hair turned out and it was overall an incredibly positive experience. It's safe to say I have found my new stylist! I would also recommend this shop for LGBTQ+ clients-- it's an affirming and kind space :)

Michael was excellent. He is a kind and caring person who has been an expert at his work for a long time now. He sat down to ask me what I was looking for and actually listened to my needs (low maintenance, simple, etc). He was very comforting when washing my hair and then finished the cut (correcting issues from a previous cut) efficiently. However, I was lucky to also to be treated to stories of all the work he's done advocating for our local LGBTQ community over the decades through Friends of Dorothy, literally saving lives and helping others die with the dignity they deserved. Also, the salon is beautiful.

I started off on an awkward foot because I had never been there before and I parked on the street and came in the front door,( They had to unlock it for me). Just so you know: there's a parking lot out back for customers and then you come in the back door. It was a charming place with both friendly customers and staff. Heather cut my hair and I love it!
